Excellent, Emmanuelle! Sorry it took me a moment again to see this.
Yes, it's a "toggle" button. You can also find it in the menu bar under "View", where it is called "Show Endpoints".

It happens to be one of Olivera's favorite hotkeys, because she makes these videos and little clips all the time and turns off the endpoints to show-off the clean pattern at the end.
